I am Amylin, but I go by Amy. I started my degree early childhood education in 2005. My dream was to be a Mom and run an in home daycare preschool. In 2009 I married my high school sweet heart! We moved to Logan where he went to school and I worked full time in a job I loved and was very sucessful in.
2011 we decided we wanted to start our family. Logan no longer seemed like the place we needed to be, with me working and not having family around, we decided to come back to Utah County. I was able to return to my job here at UVU. September 2012 our first beautiful little girl Kaylee was born. I continued to work full time, Samm was working nights and going to school full time trying to finish up his degree. Grandmas were a life saver with the little one while we were making a paycheck.
In May 2013 Samm graduated and got a dream job in Heber City in the fild he had gone to school in, LUCKY! We let the company know that we wanted to move our family to Heber and stay working for them as long as we could. Samm's boss gave him a raise, the amount we needed to buy our first home. We moved to Heber in October 2013. Life was great, I was able to quite my job and live my dream of being a mom.
In December of 2014 our second miracle girl, Murphy, was born. February of 2015 i started the second phase of my dream by starting an in-home daycare. Now that I have a year of that under my built I want to come back to school and finish that degree I started in '05. Last friday, May 6th, I came in to see what needed to be done. I was planning on having to do a lot more to graduate, but it turns out I am two credits away. So here I am taking this class and I pray that July I will have my full dream of becoming a stay at home mom with a daycare/preschool!
